Indians For Guns

Guys have a couple of questions in here and if ithis is better suited under a different forum please move it.

1) Are there any shooting ranges (Pistol/Rifle) in Pune, Maharashtra that someone in the forum is aware of (heard about one for police training) is a civilian w/o a license permitted to shoot there if accompanied by a license holder?
2) Is there a trap shooting range in Mumbai/Pune?
3) Have heard that, if you have a membership to one of the shooting ranges and go through a course it may help with the license procedure.
4) This may be a far shot, but are there any trap shooting events going on around 1-3 week of July

its a 10 mts indoor range with electronic target changer and ample lights,only for air pistol and rifle.Accredited to Maharashtra Rifle association.All basic facilities are available to members including competion grade pistols (imported) ,rifles,target papers and locker.in my album a pic of the range can be checked.
One has to undergo a safety course before one is granted a membership.the training camp is held generally every month.

i think theydont have functional firearm range,the one in srpf is closed down long back to civilians,theres one indoor airarm range,but i doubt whether it has MRA accredition.

Memberhip is for Rs 5,000/- (one-time non-refundable fee) and the annual fee is Rs 500/-.

biking - correct, no MRA accreditation is mentioned as on date. That said, may yet be worth a visit - will keep you posted as and when i get around to it.

How does the PDRA m'ship fee compare to Renuka Swaroop's?

the renuka swaroop being partially funded by the Maharashtra education society and guns obtained from MRA is much cheaper,it was 3000 for members who needed guns and 2500 for members who get their own stuff for a year.,

Sorry to bump up an old thread, but wanted to avoid posting a new one.

From my research on this forum, Pune has the following facilities:

MES Shooting Range, Renuka Swaroop Highschool, Off Tilak Road.
Pune District Rifle Association, Wanavadi.
Amateur Institute of Modern Shooting, Prabhat Road. Range at Warje.
Shiv Chhatrapati Kridapeeth, Balewadi.

I believe that while MES is accredited with MRA, the PDRA and AIMS are not accredited. Anyone with updated information please correct me. I could not find any information about the SCK. I believe *colthead* has used the facilities at SCK. It is also the closest to the place where I will be staying in Pune. Can anyone share how I can use the facility? Do I have to be a MRA member? I am not a member of any shooting club or association right now.

Not wanting to start a new thread I thought I'd post here...

I'll be visiting Pune again around new years and was curious if there were any shooters or airsofters in Pune on here who would like to meet up. I am a professorial instructor specializing in Reality based Training, CQB and other defense disciplines.
