Hey there!

I know this might sound real absurd or stupid.
But, still...

How can residents/shooters establish a city rifle association if there aint one??
What are the documents required?
How much capital is required for applying to NRAI to register a new Rifle Association?
What criterias should be fulfilled?
And what else is required?

IFGians especially from Noida/GB Nagar lets establish our own club.

It is a requirement ,I am sure will receive the support of many holders of arms licence in the area. The most essential aspect is to get a firing range. For this one needs to approach the authorities.

Well, as fas as I have read here at IFG, NRAI also doesnt have a range.
But still, I do have something in my mind.
There are many schools like Amity International, Khaitan Public School, Khothari International, etc which have shooting ranges.
We can collaborate with them.
Just like mqny other sport coaching/clubs have done.
Or we can have one at Noida Stadium. There's plenty of land and it'll be easier to get a license as its already a sports complex.
But I would say, collaborate with q school. (less capital needed )

a) First step would be to register your association with the registrar of societies. Any competent CA/ CS should be able to get this done for you (for a fee of course).

b) NRAI will not give any city/ district association direct recognition so long as there exists (even if it is only on paper) a state rifle association. In your case this would be the UP State Association, which would be the body from which you need to seek recognition.

c) If you expect to offer your members anything more than airgun facilities, you will need to get an arms license for the association. The local licensing authority is the competent authority for issuing the same.

I will be back in Noida on 28th of April.. pm your mobile number, we can coordinate.I have also heard that there will be a firing range near F-1circuit, but nothing much is known.After your initial interaction with the District Sports Officer, we can publicise the matter amongst the residents through the RWA newsletter etc.

Good luck, I'd really love to see a shooting club operated by IFG members. For me, I always wanted to join a shooing club but I guess it won't happen in this lifetime.

Yesterday I was a bit late when I reached the DM office. The door was locked and I was told that he had already left and is generally on field
So, I called him and apologized, and asked for another date.

Nice meeting you spin_drift!

So, to start with with, we need a governing body of 10-11 members. And 3-5 additional members of club.

As I would be able to do any work regarding the club inly after 23 May, after my BITSAT, anybody can make the list of the body and members, then we could organize a meeting and then elect president/secretary/etc
If you guys can wait. I'LL do it, but after 23rd. After 23rd I'll also get schools to be part of it (the DSO recommended to make schools a part).

Meanwhile, members of rifle clubs please tell us what all designations are there in the body (treasurer, president, etc)

People interested can PM me and also tell that whether the want to be in governing body or member.
Please also consider to support us financially. 5-10k contribution would be enough, though we are always open for more . It's not a compulsion. But it would be highly appreciated.

As of now, we have 2 (spin nd me) names in the governing body and 2 for members (my non-ifg friends)

Remember you must have a proof that you reside in GBN.
