We in the US have little idea of firearms ownership in other nations. It is pleasant to see a firearms advocacy group in India. I am a life member of both the National Rifle Association and Gun Owners of America. I am glad to be among friends!

There is no comparison, in USA RKBA is a fundamental right guaranteed by Constitution, in India it is practically just a "privilege" of rich and powerful. Legal arms ownership is governed by draconian laws named Arms Act 1959 and Arms Rules 1962 written on the lines of Arms Act 1878 which was formulated by the British colonial rulers for the purpose of subjugating the natives. Practically it is very difficult and costly for a law abiding citizens to obtain a firearms, criminals of all types are having a merry time due to legal "gun control" and have no problem getting illegal arms.
