All these nuisance orders are nothing but pure violation of fundamental rights of life and freedom of movement of people(maybe more fundamental rights also since Arms Act allows discrimination on basis of social "classes" also). These orders are just the symptoms, real fountain of trouble is the Arms Act itself. As per my understanding Arms Act is suffering from the "vice of over delegation" it needs to be attacked from every angle in every legal and democratic way. In any country there are two kinds of militia:
1) Militia owned and maintained by the state(Armed Forces)
2) Militia not owned and maintained by the state(citizens themselves)
All licensed arms holders in this country are nothing but a well regulated militia comprising the people of this country. Whenever anyone of them uses his/her firearms for his/her defense or for the defense of others around, is doing nothing but enforcing the law. Hence helps enforcing the law and order to maintain peace and security of state. The following need to be met before anything meaningful can be expected:
a) People need to come forward and organize themselves(on lines of NRA) rather than suffering silently and individually.
b) Regular "hue and cry" about problems faced has to be raised with government, M.P.s/M.L.A.s and media.
c) Lawyers who are interested in social work should be willing to come forward and help the cause for no charge or very nominal charge.
I have already expressed my views as a layman to the best of my understanding at the following and lawyers need to examine them and find flaws to see what better can be done to put forward a watertight case.
