IFG Members support for RKBA PIL

Hello Everyone,

This thread is started to support 2 Points:

1) To ease the process of Liecesing for FIRE ARMS,
2) To lift Ban on Import of FIRE ARMS.

As always, we have been discusing and arguing for these facts and suggestions from many members have come to File a PIL in Court for both the matters. The issue is rested when it comes to support the cause.
Through this post i want to request the members to provide their consent;
"WHETHER or NOT" Members of this Forum are willing to support a petition to lift the "BAN on Import of ARMS" and to Revise or Ease the process for "Licensing of Fire Arms". This thread will require just a YES or NO. The purpose is to just understand, how many people are willing to support, again the support wont call for any Commercial Help. Coz, if we are looking forward to file a petition, we need to have a back up of people, who are ready to at least sign the petition. Its the Number that will speak first.

I hope we get some response, irrespective of "Yes or No".

:cheers:
Ravi Sharma

Yes!
1.How about also increasing the maximum allowed number of firearms from 3 (+ 1 for NRAI members) to at least 4 (+1)also. So that any person can have atleast one each of Pistol, Revolver, Rifle & Shotgun(+the .22 Rifle for NRAI members)
2.How about also increasing the limit of ammo from 50 rounds importable to maximum purchasable at one time as on license subject to limitations of airlines.
3.How about import of spares made less tedious and simpler.

First let us get one thing done at a time, starting with the one that seems to be most logical and easiest to be achieved, then move to the next, everything else is bound to follow.

I agree ; too many steps taken at a time shall be a staggered approach. We need being snipers, not machinegunners, at this point of time.

A post that's a bit out of context, but Lawman has spoken to a certain gentleman practicing law at the Calcutta High Court, who is willing to take up the case. Now, he's asking for relevant documents and points that shall prove more number of arms/ lift of ban won't shoot crime high in the society. While I can bear a few initial consultation fees, I'm looking forward to you guys for gathering the relevant literature.
