hi all
just to let you all know whats going on in other parts of the world regarding arms etc, so we can count ourselves blassed.

here what may happen to Scotland.

"The Calman Report recommends that The Scottish Parliament should be handed control of airgun legislation in Scotland. "

The Scottish Parliament will undoubtedly use this power to place a ban on unlicensed airguns in Scotland. This measure harms the legitimate sporting shooter and fails to address the real problem; that caused by unlawful use of airguns. Criminal use of airguns by its nature cannot be legislated against by removing airguns from those who abide by the law.

"This new legislation would erode the civil liberties of sporting shooters in Scotland and fail to remove airguns from the hands of criminals."

i think it to much haggis which has gone to the brains. :D

Has there been a rash of murders, bank robberies, or terrorist attacks with airguns in Scotland lately?

The only thing happening in the UK as a whole is a mass migration of common sense from the country.

The Boy Scouts can no longer have pen knives, just in case they begin a campaign of mass stabbing.
You can not swim length's in a pool lest you drown.
You cant drop your neighbour's kids off, without a background police check, lest you be a pedophile.

It just goes on and on.

One of the big issues the UK shooting team is having, is practising for the pistol events. The reason?
Handguns are illegal in the UK.
