Gentlemen,
Firstly, I am post this after taking due permission from the Mods.
As some of you would have been aware that I with Goodboymentor were working on getting a PIL in the Supreme Court and for that I had spoken to a friend of mine who is an AOR in the Supreme Court and had agreed to assist with this. And after reviewing the material that I with the help of Goodboymentor had provided to him, he suggested to get a senior lawyer involved and the estimates that he has given is around Rs 10000, per person provided if we can manage to get around 100 to 150 co-petitioners. I have spoken to a couple of firearms dealers and they are ready to contribute and I'll be speaking to a few more. Also, it would be nice if you could speak to firearms dealers in your respective areas and see if they have the bandwidth to contribute.
With that being said I still have to get some clarification from my friend on the 10000 he has quoted if that would be just a one time payment or if that would be per hearing.
The reason for this post is to know how many of us would to like to be co-petitioners and or make a contribution so that I can take some concrete numbers to my lawyer friend and see where we stand and what the shortfall is and how best we can raise the finances if there is a shortfall.
Thanks.
SD

If you provide a cost breakup and a proper clarity on the expense ( current and future) and the expected procedure and outcome, please count me in as an arms license holder. At least we may look for getting a stay on this proposed amendment as soon as possible.
Regards,
Rajiv

Let us know the cost and we all could contribute something. But still I feel after the seniors ( Abhijeet Sir & Vikram Sir) confirm then only we should consider filing any petitions in the Supreme Court. This is my opinion.
Regards

I’ve already provided the details of the lawyer to Rakshit Sharma and Abhijeet.
I’ll give out the complete details once everything has been finalize, but here is some info on him.
He has been practicing law in the Supreme Court for 14 years now, he has done is higher education from the United Kingdom and his internship under our former finance minister the late Shri Arun Jaitley. As far as he owns a licensed firearm. I have no idea about it.
Also, I will later post the gist of the the general objective of PIL in a separate thread for everyone's review.
