CAFI Control

I just stumbled upon, a website, www.cafi-online.org and felt weird after checking it out.
Now I have realized that, CAFI isnt unknown to IFG.
And also, it seems, CAFI has more support than NAGRI.
Now, CAFI is a very active organization. If they are meeting or doing something, they post it online. IF there are any meetings or activities, NAGRI doesnt updates it website.
CAFI is having all sorts of e-petitions(was horrified to see that), and NAGRI doesnt!!

What i want to ask is, if there is any activity, why isnt NAGRI showing it? Websites, internet is a great way to reach people who dont know about NAGRI!

And I am not complaining here, please, dont take it that way. I understand that most NAGRI members are having work and all, so its understandable that they dont have time for 'online' stuff!

All I ask is, if you need it, make a team, of moderators, and all, to handle the online media, to handle media!!

We do need 'branding' of NAGRI!!

I'll be more than happy to don NAGRI slogans on my tee! Only if Heads of NAGRI allow(and send a 300pixel image of logo)

NAGRI hasn't been updating things on the web, mostly because a lot of what we have been doing is meeting people, sensitising them to the cause, requesting support, requesting contacts, etc. There really isn't much to "tell" about such activities, all I can say is that the proof of the pudding is in the eating:

The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Home Affairs, calls only one outside expert witness to testify regarding the Arms Amendment Bill 2010/ Arms Act 1959 - that witness is NAGRI and NAGRI's suggestions are included in their report verbatim.

The Arms Amendment Bill 2010 has still not been presented to the parliament for voting - almost 3 years since it was tabled!

Neither of the above is a small achievement, unfortunately what went on behind the scenes is not something for public consumption.

Your point regarding being more "visible" online & offline is well taken, and since you are in the NCR region we'd like to invite you to participate more actively by volunteering some of your time towards NAGRI activities and hopefully you can help us fill in some much needed gaps. :)

Cheers!
Abhijeet

There are a lot of people from the NCR who would like to help. NAGRI should to put up a list of things\activities it needs help with and i am quite sure a lot of people would volunteer.

I would have loved to help, but I still haven't received my membership! (I think I applied in Aug or Sept last year)

Abhijeet sir, this seems to be the problem with many. why cant we add a google doc form on website? as the membership is still free..
Atleast then a confirmation e-mail could confirm the membership.

I things CAFI is more about people having guns and misusing it. However, I support NAGRI.

There are a few questions what people (NAGRI member and founders) miss. Is what is the fee for renewal, lifetime membership fee etc. The website is not well being maintained or promoted (i dont expect it to be limited to present gun owners or the niche group). Its important for the NAGRI to be more open and advertising about the program we have and we intend to start.

I am happy to contribute/volunteer a few hours in a week.
