A disappointing effort by the otherwise efficient BBC. They, once again, begin with illegal weapons and then seamlessly segue into gun ownership.NAGRI gets a token mention without showing Abhijeet's version while Ms. Nepram blithely cantillates her oft heard rant.I am not happy. And it's less than two minutes.

Thanks for sharing Vikram!

A good find but nevertheless, disappointing content.... :(

I was drawn especially, to that word you used - cantillates - well enunciated!

The footage shown of Capt. Rakshit Sharma & me has been taken from an Associated French Press interview

Of course even in the AFB video it seems they've overly stressed only one side of the story editing out all but one token sentence by Capt. Rakshit. But BBC has edited out even that sentence!

Cheers!
Abhijeet

Its a pity state if affair over gun ownership in India, that individuals who's necessary to self protect with a licensed (or unlicensed)weapon being projected that this gun is being used in the gun crimes in their vicinity.

Not just the government, organizations like gun control and individuals have to know real facts that how much their lives are in danger with illegal and unsound people armed in the cities and towns.

A month ago around 8-10 robbers visited my neighboring farmhouse around 930pm. As there was only 1 security person that day on duty, he was helpless to tackle them. And had to cook food for the robbers after being assaulted. And as these robbers could not find any valuables there, they have got away with fans, tube lights, tv etc.

For the same fear, I've put my parents to live little distant from the farmland, near to the town. Where is little more secure with around 100-200 houses in around.
