Indian Police kill more than 4 citizens in custody per day!

Post by mundaire » Thu Nov 24, 2011 11:38 am

See http://articles.timesofindia.indiatimes ... est-number

The figures in the above article translate into 4.33 citizens dying in custody per day! These figures do not include extra-judicial police killings aka "encounter killings". So even if we discount encounter killings and assume that all such custodial deaths were reported accurately, it basically means that you are 2.5 times more likely to be knocked off by the cops (in custody) than by a licensed gun owner!

Do these statistics seem like they belong in a free country?

Cheers!

Hello

I don't think, we are living in a free country ?

only those in power are saying this.......

Does any one has statistics about how many of those Police Force involved in killings are questioned or punished ?

Most of the rules are colonial Heritage and the rules are making their position comfortable not serving the citizens

Our Govt. is only trying to keep us confused/engaged , they don't want citizens to think/protest about the real problems

Regards

Pritam Patel has spoken 100% truth. Who thinks India is a free country or its people are free? Only those in power and the ignorant following or supporting them blindly believe so.

I've always argued that 'Guns don't kill people, cops do!' and my point has just been proven.
