MHA says "Keep your arms.............................."

Reference: http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/indi ... 486956.cms Union home secretary G K Pillai has said "We are not even asking them to give up arms. Keep your arms................."
It is really surprising and puzzling. On one hand MHA wants to disarm only all the law abiding citizens by circulating the damned Arms Ammunition Policy to all the States/Union Territories on 31.3.2010, on the other hand it is asking the insurgents to "keep arms"!

What is the ultimate message to us, the law abiding citizens?

Is there any way we can get a legal copy of this above statement like via RTI etc.?

:agree:
but i highly doubt anyone in that list ever read any dailies!!! they are busy or dont know to read and write.. and double speak off late has been the signature move of MHA.. PC is doing politics at MHA for a reason unknown to mortal brains..
Only time can tell us what the larger conspiracy is..

i remember a dialog in movie Bandit queen, where he dacoit tells the Phoolan Devi, "You get hanged for killing 1 and for killing more than 1 you get rewarded at surrender and you become famous"
So this is exactly what is happening, :)

knowing how they work, it is not surprising that they(MHA) want to create confusion. and in the process get away with what they want or already did.RTI would be a good idea to at least get them to commit the reality on paper.

Besides this comment by Home Secretary, almost similar comment was given by Home Minister few months ago. Please suggest the question/s that need to be put forth to MHA in RTI application, so that they may not dodge the question/s giving some lame excuse. Also does anyone have video recording or links for these kind of statements by Home Secretary and Home Minister?

Now the Home Minister repeats the same by saying “We are only asking them to shun violence and come for talks. We are not asking them to surrender or lay down their arms or give up their ideology or disband their People’s Liberation Guerrilla Army. These are conflicts that will take time to resolve. We know it’s a long haul and there is no overnight solution,” Source http://www.telegraphindia.com/1110922/j ... 538294.jsp
