A report by the South West Regional Development Agency in the United Kingdom has revealed that shooting boosts the rural economy by £1.6 million. Additionally, as reported in Express & Echo, shooting generates 2.7 million work days on conservation per year, the equivalent of 12,000 full-time jobs. http://www.thisisexeter.co.uk/news/Shoo ... ticle.html
It was a good read eljefe . But the gun laws in UK are so very archaic that it does no good for shooting enthusiasts.

Not sure how you got this impression.
There is a blanket handgun ban, admitted. But apart from that, the legal system/licensing is very fair while the shooting facilities/equipment/ammo are easy, approachable, and reasonably priced.
The one big difference I noted, apart from the obvious points above was in the nature of shooters. Unlike a lot of people in mera Bharat mahaan, there is no high and mighty coterie who stay aloof and discourage newbies.
Ask me how I know

Jefe/Prabhat,
The quote in UK does not apply to number of ammunition one can buy in a year.It simply applies to the ammunition one can buy each time for a particular firearm. There are no limits on the ammunition one can shoot in a year.
One can even buy a .50BMG if one can show a place to shoot it.
Best-

Maybe i didnt express myself well.
'Quota' means how much one can buy at a time. for. eg. if my quota is 600, i can buy 600, shoot it go back and buy it again. theoritically i could buy 1800+ in a day. (if i had the money and if my shoulder could take it)
