There was organization formed by the fellow bros, which had identified the prominent ppl who would take up the case. We didnt hear back anything on that after there first meeting. :(

The organisation (NAGRI) is alive & well and working overtime to ensure that these (illegal) changes, to the way the law is implemented, do not go through. Not at liberty to share much info right now. More next week...

Hi,
I had mentioned yesterday regarding the Govt policy to permit private manufacture of sports weapons. This is on the website of the Ministry of Home Affairs. The link is :

http://www.mha.nic.in/pdfs/AaAMPolicy080410.pdf

HTH,

Cheers

This is quite OT but the new "draft" manufacturing policy requires an OK from MHA for each "sporting type" firearm, considering the current MHA theme I would be very surprised if the MHA allows anything decent to come our way... case in point, IOFB has been trying for years to get them to allow IOFB to sell it's pump action shotguns to the public, but the MHA has not budged an inch!

Coming back to the current issue - if anyone here knows high up people in the opposition, especially the BJP, SP, Akalis etc. please send me a PM. Your assistance can be invaluable at this crucial time - every drop counts!

Cheers!

the brain behind the whole plot, has mastery in gradually increasing grip over its pray, ( service tax was levied up-on very few services at the time of introduction, today we have to pay service-tax on everything other than Air we breath, but I m sure it will no longer avble free of tax in near future )

What do we do now ? :?: nothing will change its fate, days of weapon ownership will become history very soon

Its has been one year since my application is pending at home minister's office....

I never got chance to fire a single shot from my IOF .22

this country s??ks......

Govt. should provide guaranty for each and every citizen of this country to protect them where ever he goes in the country, one or two lacks to relatives of victims does matter how much this days ?

why MP & MLA are allowed they already have at least couple of Khakhis touting arms around them 24 x 7.....

As expected besides a lot of hand wringing and chest beating nothing will be done.

No new licenses.Good.

No All India.Even better.

I hope this would knock some sense into people who had felt that It can't be done/It can never be done/It will never be implemented and the best of all,"Some one will challenge it in the court" that some one obviously being some one else.

Any thoughts on it's impact on skyrocketing firearms prices? Might turn it into a buyers market some years from now. Also, there might be more gun dealers selling mobile phones and accessories along with guns  As it is,they were not contributing to the exchequer giving a bill for 20,000/- or so for a firearm sold for 4-5 lakhs

IOFB can,off course, kiss it's civilian arms market good bye

I hope it knock some sense in airgunners also who think that they will be spared. Once they are done with firearms they will come for airguns. Mark my words, its going to happen if not today then tomorrow.

I say it again, you just can't get anything without shouting your lungs out in this country. If its not on road among common people its nowhere. No body care about closed door meetings in this country, you have to be out there on roads demanding your right if you want to enjoy your sport.

a soft copy of your petition could become useful to other fellow members if they wish to file separate petition.

plz PM me, to save time, I do have al india lic. for NPB handgun, babus messed up jurisdiction for additional weapon (rifle), file is pending at home minister's office since one year.....

or you may include me as a joint petitioner. ( i will be happy to share expenses for same)

regards

pritam

I am working on National highway projects ( as sub-contractor), have witnessed a single individual petition on base of nominal grounds has hampered progress of crucial infrastructure project very badly.
I see some possibility on this ground, Govt. must face challenges....
