Cheers Ravi,

There are many other points as well, do you know that ministry has other agendas where they instruct district magistrates to demote any such request, who are they ? The pigs of Animal farm ?
I would love you to get a copy of "The Animal farm" its a short story but you can actually see it being played in India.
I love the book, you will love it as well. It wil give you new energy and strength and unshakable belief that what is going on is wrong in its roots, including the current politicians, their motives for power and money and the corruption in our nation.
We have to root out the corruption from our country, be** the hell out of those who spat on the ethics. We don't want India to become like Pakistan where corruption is the only thing certain.

What we are looking at is denial of our rights that too by the people we choose to represent us (or were made to choose them , either shi* or more shi* , no option, what would you do ? )

Fight back and claim what is your, raise your voice and shake the roots of this dark system which is leeching on the people.

Dobhal

It should start with your introduction , from there start writing about your observations on the current arms act and what all the problems you can foresee, then you point out that the majority of crimes are being carried out by the illegal arms and not otherwise.
Then you can probably start talking about the power imbalance between those who are so called powerful people( raise the question what makes people fear them , state its not they are smarter or more muscler, its that they can harm you) and the normal 9-5 citizen, law abiding citizen.
A 9-5 citizen lives in constant fear, the power balance is quite disturbed, at one side are the afraid law abiding citizen and at the other side are the people who are armed, connected and who would not stop until they they know that its not safe to harm a law abiding citizen.
Either govt make sure that they have such a strong police force and protection services, which are meant for the purpose stated above but are constantly failing, or they let the law abiding citizen atleast have a chance to defend themselves.

Then you start writing your own feelings in light of the above, the arms act should have provisions as and when a law abiding citizen feels he requires a fire arm he should be provided with one, provided he is not a criminal. The clause which deals with wisdom of presiding officer should be removed as this gives rise to corruption.
Then you can also talk about the circumstances around 1959 when the arms act was written, during 1959 many were farmers who needed arms to defend their means of livelihood from wild animals, cites were limited to metros that too not this populated, police were enough and crime was less.Ministers were generally honest and law abiding, politicians use to roam freely without 30 body guards.

In 2009 we have professional who also have need to protect their means of livelihood and life more than 1959 , we have girls being raped en-route to work or while coming back don't then have right to protect means of livelihood which includes travelling to work , we have senior citizens being slaughtered in their humble abode, we have terrorists walking in on the streets and spraying bullets at the innocent citizens.
We have people being shot for small amount of money, we have people being robbed on the gun point.
Its not 1959, its 2009, things are too different ,the present middle class professional didn't exist then and has no representation in the arms act.

where ever there is power imbalance there is trouble , like in terrorists effected areas terrorists are successful in killing innocents because there is no resistance, their leverage is their gun and innocent citizens weakness is Arms act and expensive guns, hence people die everyday.

Police reaches when some has been raped, killed , beaten . Police never reaches within 5 minutes anywhere in India, and they talk about need of self defense and threat on life ?

SO my dear friend there are thousand and one points , but the actual point should come from your heart.

All the best,.

Don't you guys find it funny that the Government is spending a fortune celebrating a former Prime Minister's birthday by putting up posters every where and they do not publicize that they have damn site that accepts the grievance ! I had to find out by this post. I mean there are so many things one can do with it. Guns aren't the only problem with this country.

Dear Zake

Do you know what is GDP of this country ? what is the total budget ? How much of if comes from non professional and employed personnels ?
Find out and you will understand why I keep shouting TAX TAX all the time :-).

On 'what all' can be done , the NIC is fully dedicated to changing everything , but if the system is open , no jugaad ? that means Neta ji ke letter will become online, neta ji ke expenses will become online.
who wants that ?
Neta ji doens't want that for sure, so don't talk about it , hide it, let bureaucrats slog and make a system, don't even introduce it.
And keep winning a proxy democracy election years after years, no real issue, not much informed public majority is illeterate and their living condition you will have to see to believe (been there done that, but yes they do vote, skeletons walking all the way 2 miles to vote), election is happening on the rule of random.

Dear Zake,Mik, Kanwar 76,
Way to go, guys, your support to our cause has enthused our collective spirits, In my opinion, people taking the effort to post their grievances really seperates the MEN from the BOYS!

Done after all !! well friends if u try to register your complain in that crappy system u have to keep in mind following things

1. dont use "?" question mark ....u know u r not supposed to ask questions to your government even if you have Elected it.

2. Dont use "!" exclamation mark ..... that means u are not even allowed to express emotions even if those politicians have cried for vote at your door step.

all the best for your complain....please complain and contribute to the RKBA.

oh my god !! only 11 out of approx 2000 have complained ... i think it not going to work then ... we should ask others to do the same !!

recently i was watching a "Tactical Shotgun for Self defence" video it was american and it said that in america getting a shotgun license is pretty much easier than handgun or Rifles...is it the same with our country ??

Yes dobhal,
No wonder the diapers industry is doing well. Though I am not a moderator, I have to request you to kindly post your issue of shotguns license elsewhere, otherwise the objective of this post will deviate into a discussion on shotgun licenses.
