TenX, shouldn't the first ad be read like " On which side you like to be ? "

Welcome here Oleg, i have been visiting your photo gallery sine some last years. and always admire your superb photography. especially the poster of Colt m1903 as a Classic life saver is always on my wallpaper. your photos of Kit with CZ52 is awesome and moreover the poster which differentiate between GUN CULTURE & Thug Culture is very nice.
as i happens to be a member of THR, i hope & pray that you will get both the domains as legitimate owner of the forum.
nice to see you around.
regards

Oleg.. There is one point I would like to mention. I am sure that you are pretty much aware of the non-availability, import bans and such problems in present India. I guess we should underline protection of every member of the public, Woman/Man, Old, Young, Weak... and span from ignorance to awareness... maybe a majority of Indians are unaware and afraid of the unknown to even think of what RKBA is all about... :)

Well.. yes, that makes sense too.. There was not much thought behind it, and guess a lot of improvisation can be done :)

Welcome aboard Oleg, I've been a member of THR for sometime now though I'm afraid my participation there has been somewhat limited. I hope you/ your team are able to resolve the THR domain name hijack soon and recover your rightful domain name without additional trouble.

Thank you for your offer to pitch in with your creative inputs towards helping out the (nascent) RKBA movement in India. The current situation in India is as follows:

1. The Arms Laws though ostensibly meant to be an improvement over the colonial laws - still leave much room for interpretation by authorities and arms licensing is an opaque and often arbitrary process.

2. The manufacture of rifles & handguns is a complete government owned monopoly, resulting in overpriced shoddy products.

3. The manufacture of shotguns is limited to a few small scale private manufacturers, with no additional yearly quotas or fresh manufacturing licenses being issued.

4. Manufacture of ammunition is almost a government monopoly.

5. The imports of firearms is effectively banned for almost all practical purposes and the import of ammunition is highly restricted. This combined with points 2, 3 & 4 pose an even greater barrier to firearm ownership than even the unfair licensing process.

6. An overwhelming percentage of firearms in India are held without proper paperwork, i.e. they are illegal arms. Authorities variously estimate that illegal arms account for between 80-90% of all firearms in private hands. This is a direct fallout of the above mentioned points, combined with the fact the illegal arms cost a fraction of licensed arms of (similar de.scription).

7. There are still many anachronistic aspects to the arms laws in India for e.g. the restriction on owning "service" calibres and semi-autos.

8. Indians have been bereft of gun rights for so long that the popular perception of guns/ gun owners is an overwhelmingly negative one. With (negative) imagery from the movies and television shaping the views of most people.

If you can provide me with high-res samples of your artwork, with your permission I'd be happy to translate those into posters/ bumper stickers for the members here.

Cheers!

You can get hi-res versions from links I provided in the first post. You can see English-langugage versions of most of the foreign posters there, but I'll translate the rest for you later this week. I can also provide Photoshop versions. Would the most common language be English or Hindi?

Well done Abhijeet!
You've very successfully summarized the whole scene in just 8 points, congrats!
