Re: Raise your voice for RKBA: Tell the government online
Thank you, ravi.sharma, lionheart, hvj1, goodboy-mentor, dobhal, and all who showed their zeal for this cause. hvj1, feel free to edit the documents to suit your needs. In fact the idea to write was that it may go to press to reflect our cause. Shall be great, if one small version may also be made so that where ever long version cannot be got published due to some constrains, the small one can serve our purpose, I shall be more than happy to put in my efforts, in case of need. Ofcouse, if some papers can accept the full version, nothing like that. The idea is let start something positive

Now that we have your nod on the matter, I will come up with a shortened draft, but in the next two days, since I am out of circulation.

yep, good to know, that we have unknown supporters world wide, but alas, too little supporters this side of world: reason -- our media-- as it failed to educate common masses on the subject. Indian media is too short sighted on the subject, they are under a false impression that they are doing a great service to the nation by remaining mute on the subject. In fact, it is a matter of shame for so called responsible, unbaised, independent, .... and so on media of country that they failed to highlight the geniune RKBA even after more than half a century since Independence. This vedio is an eye opener for such people. BTW thanks lionheart for sharing this viedio.lionheartguru wrote:i was surfing and found this ...

@lionheartguru, just make the video man. I keep telling you guys to make more videos and or give idea to make it. But if you are making a Hindi video then add english subtitles. Not everyone in India likes and/or is fluent in Hindi. subtitles are easy to add. Let me know if you need help.

Re: Raise your voice for RKBA: Tell the government online
Hi hvj1,
I have seen the article, but lionheart is the man who need to see, as he knows about the limitation on number of words/lines suitable for particular daily. lets wait for his comments.. Anyhow, I had sent the edited version to two different newspapers published from Jammu three days ago via email, till date I neither got any response nor found the article in their papers. Still waiting... Another big hurdle is the attitude of editors towards the subject, as they may or may not be pro-gun. Hope for the best... Atlest we should keep on trying..

tingriman

i agree, that is the possible reason even i am waiting for the right time...say like a small incidence happens in Pune/India or anywhere which these people(TOI) reports (or make a ISSUE) ... and that time i will bang inn sayin i have a good article related to the incidence ...coz that time these people(TOI) will think more of publishing the article for their benefit and not for public awareness...anyhow we benfit out of it too...
as far as the attitudes (of editors) are concerned ... its no big deal...i say this coz i have worked as a senior designer with a very reputed newspaper especialy for the police... only thing we have to keep in mind is which newspaper we choose...if we choose any chota-mota newspaper (which is operating only to publicize the concerned political parties) that will not help... however if one decides to choose a national newspaper e.g. TOI,The Hindu,Indian Express,DNA etc ,once published in the national ones...the smaller ones republish it in their local editions for their benefits...
same things imply for the tv media ... but in a sophisticated manner coz thats too risky (for them and for us as well)
thats why i will not hurry for the video ... i have to make it in a professional way , for which i need some time...
i have to start from level 0 and graduate to level 9 ... all at the same pace...i need a lot of people in 1 place with a lot of expertise...etc
well their are other ways as well which can be used publicity ...
i know a lot about this ... dirty mind afterall
regards
lion-heart

Dear Lionheartguru,
You are absolutely correct about the timing aspect. On the whole, you have a good handle on the subject and we can all rely on your jugement.

Re: Raise your voice for RKBA: Tell the government online
Guys,
How is everyone doing ?
If somehow we can release it on 26th jan , few newspapapers etc , i will have a lok at the draft and my punchline has always been had there been 5% armed people around the scene wouldn't be the same.
India is not yet ready for a 100% gun control, we have neighbours who are more than willing to harm us by sending their mercinaries in one form and another, the deterrant presence of policeman is not sufficient , then it should comes to the citizen to defend themselves and its basic fundamental reight to live without fear.
Where is that ?
Regards

Re: Raise your voice for RKBA: Tell the government online
Thank you for this forum. I have been searching for this since long.
I submitted the petition. Here it is:
..................................................
Dear Respected Home Ministry,
I am writing this e-mail with a heavy heart.
I am an self employed person providing work to around twelve more women. We run a small tailoring centre ( in UP and get our orders from loclas as well as abroad)
however, the people close to politicians especially of X party keep harassing.
these political people are bullies and all bullies are cowards. They do not harass anyone with a gun.
Please amend the Guns act and allow people to rotect their life and dignity.
regards,
Syedah Ayesha

Did anybody get any response?
