Some gun dealers have arrogance and rudeness in their genes , and somehow they are under the impression that they are doing us a huge favor by selling us ammo at inflated rates .

Let me share an experience of me and my uncle . It happen approximately , one and a half year ago . My uncle , at that time had a DBBL , and he wanted a small arms too . He was in the market for a .32 pistol . First we visited a gun dealer on the RN Muhkerjee Rd . The chap over there was polite and business oriented . He talked to us for over 20 minutes and gave us the price of Walther in .32 cal , which was around 4.5 lakhs .

Next we went to another gun dealer on J L Nehru Rd . There was an elderly fellow on the counter . He was also polite and business minded . We got an quotation of a .32 Beretta of 2.95 lakhs & Walher of 5.0 lakhs .

Then we went to J Biswas & Co on J L Nehru Rd . There was a young fellow at the counter . I don't know from where he had got the impression that he was some High Court Judge and we ( me and my uncle ) were some harden criminals . Due to his behavior we opted to walk out the place with in 2-3 minutes .

I have applied for my Arms License at Barasat . I have been there 3 times already for my License Application . I belong to a common middle class society of India , and I have no links to any one . I received way better treatment from the State Government officials at Arms Section of the DM's office at Barasat . A couple of weeks ago , I had to call up the OC of my nearest Police Station , to seek their help and EVEN he and his team were courteous more than the chap at J Biswas & Co .

J Biswas & Co is the last place I would go for my ammo needs .
