My Intro
Hi Guys!
My name is Anish Pal and i study in class 12. I have a BIG interest in guns, shooting, crime, related organizations etc. Guys, i just need some help from you as i am new to this. Can anyone please tell me what is a CO2 gun? And do i need a license to purchase it? I was also searching the net and i found some websites like http://www.pyramid-air.com which sells different types of gun. Do i need any type of license to buy air pistols from these websites? I'll really be grateful if anyone can help me.
Regards,
Anish.

Re: My Intro
Welcome aboard Anish. You do not need a license to own an airgun. You can import one from pyramydair and such sites but getting it released from Customs without a membership is next to impossible. Not worth the risk. Google for info on co2 airguns and also other types of airguns. There are threads on IFG about the types of airguns and other related stuff. Go through them. All the best.

Welcome to IFG,Anish.A CO2 gun uses gas cartridges to shoot pellets. It does not require a license. It does not mean, however, that they can be handled without care and respect.Safe shooting practices are essential for your and others' safety. BTW, What kind of interest is it that you have in guns, shooting, crime, related organisations etc,?Post often and please go through the forum pages to educate yourself.

Jeff Cooper advocated four basic rules of gun safety:
1) All guns are always loaded. Even if they are not, treat them as if they are.
2) Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy.
3) Keep your finger off the trigger till your sights are on the target.
4) Identify your target, and what is behind it.

Guys!!! I need your help once again!!! In reply to my first post, Mr.Prabhat said that getting my air gun from customs without a membership is next to impossible. Well, can anyone please tell me what sort of membership do I need? And what will be the requirements of such a membership? Please reply in detail.............
