Hi all,

Post by Dara » Sat May 01, 2010 9:55 pm

This is Dara from Mumbai. Thinking of buying an air rifle soon, but quite confused about what to go for at this point. I have absolutely no experience or knowledge about guns, however going through some posts on this blog was very insightful. Not sure now passionate I am about shooting, but owning a gun is probably one of those things that I wanted to do as a kid and was never allowed (family was sure I would blind someone). Will be reading relevant posts over the next couple of days so that I 'hopefully' do not repeat topics that have already been discussed (kindly bear with me if I do though)

Looking forward to a great deal of learning through discussions about each of your experiences

Kind Regards
Dara

Hi, Dara and welcome to IFG, I would suggest, if u have a low budget (4000-8000), buy and indian airgun .177 or .22, depending on your passion to own anyone.
now if u have a good budget around 40,000 + go for a good imported one, I am sure u will find a good Diana 54, or any one, in brand new good condition......
Pls dont forget to follow the safety, after loading a pallet, never point the barell at anyone, even if it is empty or not.....

have a safe & happy shooting

))))cheers!!!!
Amit

Thanks Amit,

Since I'm a starter I will stay towards the lower band of price spectrum .. and yes, safety is top priority
