i own a shotgun n a rifle
looking to buy a hunting rifle. . .but not sure whether ammo would be available
does anyone have any idea what bore ammo is permitted n is being imported these days.
any advise . . what rifle wd be cheap and ammo easily available ?

You already own a rifle?What make,model and calibre is it?
There are many rifles available in India and except in personal baggage or as a renowned shot, you cannot import ammunition on your own.There are a few calibres of imported ammunition available from dealers.
Depends on your needs,budget limits,license etc.
BTW,you may like to know that except in certain circumstances,hunting is banned in India.
