Hi Nagarifle,

Geting a licence was a piece of cake :D , I always wanted to have it. actually I was getting it when I was 21 it was 7 years back, But my family sent me abroad for studies, I thought I will have it when I am back. After studies I got busy with other things.

Last year I decided to finally get it, I knew few people in my city and i ranged some bells  I applied it in last week of July 09, My file got approved in August 09, It took abt 25 days to me get it approved :) , They told me I will get the licence book in second week September 09 they needed 15 days to complete all the things and paperwork after approval :x .
But I had to travel abroad for business  . So I deposited all the challans, photographs and stamps. I headed off to my journey.

I came back In end of december and I rushed to their office In Janurary and wallah!!!! my licence was waiting for me. :D

I have already applied for pistol from cossipore sent out a draft of booking amount on 28-01-10 and i don't know how long it will take.

Regards

Welcome Rahul..

Congrats on acquiring the license and hopefully the pistol really soon. Check this site for enhancements or tweaking done on Ashani by gun smith Bobby Sidhu in Patiala for a member here.

Maybe you have good gun smiths in your neck of woods. Bang for buck with Ashani you have a good idea where it stands old pistols 'Phoren' types its an x factor at a high cost. Then again every one to their own and if you like something be cautious first verify the gun i.e. just take a picture and post here seek second opinion first. There was a member who was sold Munger made copy as a Swedish pistol the tale of Husqvarna pistol

In case you travel abroad a bit try picking up an air gun.

Cheers

Thanks ngrewal,

Your advice is much appreciated, I am keeping my eyes open while buying anything, definetly I am going to put all the pics as soon as i get something. I read the tale of Husqvarna pistol and I know people out there are waiting to mugg innocent people like us for denirios 8) .

hats off!!! for Bobby Sidhu's creation, will think abt it as soon i get to lay my hands on Asahni, but i dunt see that moment coming soon, waiting for Asahni is 20 months now, important thing is I am not desparate. I can certainly wait for a good deal better. :)

I frequently travel abroad to various places around the world, I can definetly pick things up, Unfortunately I dunt have any information How to?. Any information will be appreciated.

Thanks again ngrewal

Regards

Hi Rahul,

Welcome to the Forum and congrats for your liecence, its great to see your patience, that you can wait for 20 months. For Airguns, you can go thru the thread to obtain specific informations about which Rifles to choose. Only thing you need to keep in mind is that, you need to have Membership of some rifle association.
