Hello from Texas!

Post by Rambo1 » Tue Feb 02, 2010 10:57 am

Hello from the land of the cowboys! I am a proud gun owner and NRA member. I also am a NRA pistol instructor and hand gun target-shooting competitor (rimfire and centerfire). I own a Glock 17, a Glock 26, two Ruger .22 lrs (a target and a competition model), and a STI Spartan .45 cal, which is my centerfire competition gun. I also own a Soviet-issued Olympic rifle (a Vostok) which is a competition caliber rifle. I am certified to carry concealed and if time and my travels allow, I will be a Texas concealed carry instructor this summer! I love guns, and love it that there is a handgun forum for Indians. Ah, last not but not least, I am an ex-IIT Bombayite (EE) from the 90 batch (It was still Bombay when I left India :))

Rambo1, welcome to IFG. Well, we're not restricted to handguns. You'll find anything and everything related to firearms, sharp edged weapons under their respective categories. How about some pics of your beauties??

Regards
Jeff Cooper advocated four basic rules of gun safety:
1) All guns are always loaded. Even if they are not, treat them as if they are.
2) Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy.
3) Keep your finger off the trigger till your sights are on the target.
4) Identify your target, and what is behind it.

Sorry to disappoint everyone. The pics will have to wait for a few days. I am getting my floor re-done and until that is over my babies are safe with a good friend (except for my carry gun - the Glock 26, of course). I will post them in a few days ... Thanks for all the interest!
