Indians For Guns

Hello Everyone,
I am from Bangalore and an airgun enthusiast.
I saw this forum and decided to join. I am Indian and from Kolkata, currently working here.
I don’t have any airgun of my own and planning to buy a soon. I have gone through most of the posts on the “Air Gun section” and found them very informative for a beginners like me.
Many posts were too technical for me but I am sure over a period of time I will be able to understand them clearly.

Me too loooking for a lot of knowledge from the IFG...this is a unique place where i can get a lot of info all most about any fire arms.

Vikram, you got it very right..i am a true fan of the mighty Mosin-Nagant and the sniper flick "Enemy at the Gates".
I just think and rerun the entire movie and the sniper skills of both the German Sniper (Ed harris) and the my fav Vassili Zaitsev ( a young shephard boy from Urals)!!!!

Looking forward for more info from the team.

Another marksman with the Mosin Nagant in WW2 was Simo Häyhä -- he actually is considered to be the top-scoring sniper of all time, although he used a number of weapons, including the Mosin Nagant.

timmy thats a great story and how Finns faced upto Soviets albeit less known one..

another trivia Finish and Indian air force had common aircrafts in their stables the venerable Folland Gnat and MIG 21. Finnish didnt like the skittish Gnat but in IAF service earned the title ' Sabre Slayer' sorry for the OT.

Never knew within few posts i will be getting so much info and that’s why I like IFG very much !!!
Timmy that was a great piece of info and I also read about it in Wikipedia after I read it in the link you have provided. There is a photo of the person when he had recovered from the injury of the War...amazing. Request you to share more and more info on Mosin Nagant.
I like the gun you are holding and will be very grateful if you can provide more info.
