A Businessman by profession,a mechanical engg. by qualification. It took me sometime to get registered at IFG's forum,i had visited the IFG umpteen times and used the information as it trickled in all your posts.
U people are really not only promoting your forum but helping others fancy and persue a hobby MACHO by spirit MAAANNLY in nature.I am sure any guy visiting IFG shall at least end up buying an air gun/pistol to quench his thirst.
My Lov for guns started at age of 7 when i was gifted an air gun .22 on my B'day.I've used it for practice.(Edited)
Fellas, sometime back i got my arms license and purchased dbbl and now i'm thinking of buying a iof revolver.
Presently im at UDAIPUR rajasthan.

Pointblank, welcome! The more, the merrier! Shooting is a great sport and appeals to many men, but please teach your daughters to shoot, as well. Mine were easier to teach and shot better than my sons, because they listened to my instructions better. Many women also have better motor skills than men -- my Wife took to shooting my revolvers quite readily. When, at times, people have gotten too familiar with their remarks, I've enjoyed recounting my Wife's ability with a handgun and invited them to test her skill level for themselves, which gets the point across quite nicely. My girls don't shoot anymore (nor do they change oil in their cars, which I also taught them to do, but then again, neither their husbands or my sons do, either
but at least they know how and had the choice.
We are glad that you got registered, and welcome aboard!

Welcome Pointblank.
As Timmy says, there is something very satisfying about teaching you loved ones to shoot especially the women in your life. I will second Timmy's remarks about many women having better motor skills than men. My daughter never really showed an interest in shooting till I was invited to a Cowboy Action shooting event. She said that it sounded like fun and asked to come along. To my surprise and hers, she smoked every stage, did better than many of the long time shooters there and really showed up her old man. This from someone who had never fired a SAA or a rifle before. I couldn't have been prouder. Since then she had fired many different types of weapons and I believe she has the skills to defend herself if she needs to. Now that's a good feeling.

welcome pointblank. hope you have a good time here.
though if i may, i would disagree with your "macho" and "manly" interpretation of shooting. rather, i would associate it with patience, discipline, diligence and self control.....traits universally displayed by top shooters worldwide.
as for manly, there is a grand dame at my club who outshoots most men at what is considered the toughest of clay disciplines, olympic trap.
