Hi...
I am new joinee of this group. Found it very difficult to post one new Topic. Finally found solution on how to post one.
I am from Bangalore and I wanted to get trained in shooting.
After browsing through the net. I found the "Karnataka State Rifle Association".
I went to join the KSRA club, so collected application form, got police verification done and after waiting for more than
a month, I got to know that ksra shooting range is under rennovation and cannot take new members for the next six
months.
After waiting for so many days and finally hearing to their response. I am not sure if it is worth waiting for six
more months, i might hear the same kind of answer again.
I tried googling to find out any training centers are there. I didnot find any.
Could any one help me finding a training institute for a very new learner.
Note: I already checked out on ksra.in , I am looking for new pointers.
Thank You,
Suresh Bonda

Hi Suresh
Firstly, let me tell you that it is unwise to post personal information on open forums. I would suggest you delete your personal information from the above topic.
I am sure members will reply back in this thread itself, and personal information may not be necessary.
And yes, KSRA will be under renovation for 6 months or more, and memberships will be accepted only after it is reopened.
Apart from this, I am sorry there are no other such clubs. Why dont you open one
Ideally, its not that every shooting friend is a member. You may as well get your own air rifle and start off plinking safely in your backyard or a reasonably good place.

I am sorry for the response, but sometimes, life is like that. Wish I could help

Info removed from my post too
Thanks.
Frankly, I dont know or have heard of any other training academy or club. You could join in certain circles of Bangaloreans and get into some tin-can-bashing activity like some members here on IFG do. If your google search does find otherwise, please do let me know too

Dear Suresh,
There was this guy who was teaching to shoot air rifles and "build your confidence"
he had posted about 6 months back on the airgun link - he was located in mumbai & maybe, he might know if someone similar is out there in Banglore.
so just search for him.

Suresh!
My sincere advise is "Just go and join the Police Training". My advise is worth trying because the training is just for a span of 6 days and you end up spending not more Rs. 500/- (thats what I paid and that includes 30 rounds as well).
Cheers!

Hi,
Thanks for the response.
I could see many articles mentioning about the Police Training.
But I didnot find any details on how to enroll.
Could you give information how to enroll for the police training.

I have already done that on a different post while answering yours under the KSRA section. Check it out!
