Brief Intro

Hello Friends, I am a NRI living in the US since 1996 and came across this website while Googling for gun laws in India in 2006 when I was coming to India. After seeing the situation there during my stay in Hyderabad for over a year, I Wished I came across this website sooner so that I could have imported a handgun on TR in 2006 
Thanks to the efforts of Abhijeet and rest of the IFG community, I have the information needed to legally import a handgun on TR when am coming back to India. I will be sharing my experiences about the process here.
I have been in love with the sport ever since my Dad taught me how to shoot with his .22 CZ Bruno semi-auto rifle in early 80's, most of my shooting practice was in my backyard with a Webley Vulcan .22 air rifle. I presently do not have an Indian license and will be applying for one a few months before I come on TR. Once again thank you all for making IFG a one-stop resource for gun lovers in India.
