Hello everybody!!

Greetings from a twelve–year old. I am a student of Modern School studying in Class VI.

I have been seeing my dad on IFG and thought it was time for me to join in too ! It is interesting to learn more about guns and shooting. Thank you Abhijeet Uncle for this good site for people like me.

I have access to the following guns:
1. HW- 77K (belongs to my Dad)
2. Plastic Pellet Air Pistol (belongs to me)

Firearms are still a no for me, although I’ve been around with them since early childhood.

I have grown up playing with the plastic pellet pistol. Ever since Mack The Knife Uncle brought us the monopod, I have become addicted to shooting the HW-77K as now I can rest it and take proper aim. I am quickly picking up tricks from my father.

In the past few days, I have fired nearly about 100 pellets. I love shooting waste stuff like bottle caps, small inkbottles etc. I am aiming to master the sport very quickly !!! I wish I had a lighter gun ! :D

Regards to all.

i thought Mack The Knife uncle sold the monopod with the caveat it wasn't for spring air rifles.

Top of the morning to you, Gadget Boy!

Your old man told me about you hitting bottle caps with your new set-up and I have been left scratching my head since then. I have tried the foam taped to the cradle bit but the point of impact was not the same as a free hand shot.

Anyway, since you can now keep the rifle steady, use your shooting time to develope a consistent hold, sight alignment, trigger control and follow through.

I hope you are picking up the correct tips from your dad because one particular trick of his earned him the wrath of NORT. Do what Grandpa Nags says and read through the safe gun handling post in the General Ramblings forum.

Welcome aboard and have fun.

Hello there :)
Here is another warm welcome ...

When you say "I wish I had a lighter gun", I really hope there was a good and light air gun with a back stock that can be adjusted in length. That way, it would surely help young ones like you adapt faster...
However, you still have one chance.. which is to eat well, sleep well and grow fast, so that you dont feel the gun to be heavy anymore ;)

.. All the very best.
