Hello

Post by kalluri » Tue Dec 16, 2008 10:56 pm

Hi this is Lalitha Prasad Kalluri from Hyderabad A.P (Presently living in US) ..My love for guns started when i was in my high school..my first experience with a gun was in my 8th class holidays, My grand father's Father(Great grand father) bought an air rifle for pest control in 1940's it was used only on few occasions and saw neglect for 50 years and i took upon me the job of restoring that gun...i aways dreamed of owning a real one and shoot one ..

Last week i visited a local shooting range in Illinois her in US and was very very very very Happy to shoot

(A)22 Smith & Wesson, 40 Rounds
(B)AR 15, 40 Rounds

it was the experience of my life.........i also own an air gun .22 Ranger i dont know if it is a good company) i bought it in Gouse Arms and Ammunition for 3800 Rs/- for a project called All Electronic Shooting Range

Hi Kalluri, Welcome to IFG. Since you are in USA, you should be able to enjoy shooting sports with relative ease.

Curious. Would Raj Reddy, Kalluri be any relative of yours?

Best-
Vikram

Yes Vikram it is a lot easier to shoot or Own a gun in US. Even in a state with maximum Arms restrictions like IL, I was able to walk into a shooting range with nothing but my drivers license and shoot

No i don't have any relatives by that name Vikram.

Welcome to IFG Kalluri :)
.. somehow the name does ring a bell, but I am unable to remember. Do you have any brothers or relatives in the US, in California (San Jose/Fremont), who knows a person called Ravi Kumar?

First of all thanks for a warm response ...i am really having a great time reading the posts on various topics....forums like these are sooo important for information exchange...especially personal accounts, unbiased comments, discussion and interpretation of customs rules (which is a nightmare even for highly educated people)which are difficult(Read, impossible) to find, I extend my sincere appreciation to the Admins, Moderators as well as Members posting their valuable experiences....

I am really happy to be among people who share the same interest as i do, especially because only a handful of people appreciate these beautiful pieces of engineering.

No i don't have any relatives in US, more so in CA
