Hello all,
Overlooked this formality earlier, I sorry for that. I'm new to chat but certainly not to guns and knives. My name is Monish S. Kamat and I live in Bombay(Mumbai). I eat sleep drink and dream of nothing else. Sometimes I do find time to read a lil about hunting and shooting.

ya naren
Kamat and kamath are basically the same. Just difference in pronouncation by ppl in different region of the country i.e goa and karnataka.
Kamats are located mainly in maharashtra goa and karnataka with some spread as far as AP also.

Naren,
I'm a kamat from mangalore. But the last three generations have been born and brought up in Mumbai. There are some first and second cousins who spell the name as kamath. Basically the same family.

Naren,
I can understand konkani. But speaking is a problem. My yearly jaunts to goa help a lil but not much.
