Greetings from Oregon

We pronounce it /ˈɔrɪgən/ here. Oregon is north of California. Someone linked to this board on akfiles, so i thought i'd see what's up in India. I posted in an old thread, not seeing the date, where i met Shooter. He/she asked me to post an introduction so here it is.
I'm still in my twenties. I've been a gun-owner for only a few years, but i've always liked guns and i'm an individualist at heart. I got my Oregon concealed-handgun license a few months ago. I doubt i'll ever need it, but it could make all the difference. For carry, i have an East-German Makarov, but i usually carry nothing because weapons are against the rules at work for "safety"'s sake, and i don't have a car to leave it in.
I believe in the Right to Keep and Bear Arms, and believe that securing liberty requires an armed population and a constitutional government of limited power. But even in America, as i'm sure you're aware, government is ever gaining more authority into our lives, and too many folks take their American birthright for granted.
Aside from guns and politics, i like Runes, especially Futhorc, germanic heathendom, etymology, folk-metal and cartoons like Aqua Teen, Spongebob and He-Man. My favorite books are Dragonlance, Conan the Barbarian, and the Duden Herkunftswörterbuch. I speak some German and like languages in general. Maybe i'll learn about India's languages next.
Oh, and i'm not Indian. I hope that's alright
