Hello.
My name is Aravind. I am presently a student in Trivandrum, where I live most of the year, though I am originally from Kochi. I'm looking to join the District Rifle Club here and pick up what I think is a great sport and pastime. I'd greatly appreciate advice and tips from you all, some of whom I know to be very consummate in the art of marksmanship.

Aravind, welcome to IFG. There are a lot of tips on these boards to help with almost any interest in firearms, airguns, knives, and more. Shooting is indeed a great pastime and also an exercise in self-control and self-discipline, two very helpful attributes. You can choose to "have fun," compete against others, or compete against yourself.
