I am Benny Singh from Barrackpore, West Bengal. My hobbies are - Fishing, Movies, Outdoors, Games, travelling, Cooking, Politics and of course Shooting guns. I am 25 years old and an Entrepreneur by profession. I would like to own a .22 Sporting Rifle someday because of my love for guns. I know that you can't get one without valid reasons, but I want advice for getting a Rifle, from all seniors here. Thank you for your time.

Cheers!
Benny

Welcome aboard. Join a rifle club, practice, try to participate in a few state level competitions. A firearm license is in no way guaranteed with this method but definitely improves your chances.

Hello Benny..

I would suggest you to join the Serampore Rifle Club. It's very near to your location. And you can shoot .22 Brno here at the club. The club also has a great AirRifle range as well.

Would suggest you to visit the club on a Sunday to get registered.

I am also a member of SRC. So, if you need any more info I would be more than happy to provide it to you.

Another thing is that I am a left handed shooter and I think all the club rifles are right handed ones, am I right? That is why I wanted to get arms license because I would need a left handed rifle to shoot properly and I think the gun shops will not sell me one without license. So what should I do to?

Hello Benny..

Yes, the rifles in the club are RH. But, in order for you to get a License you need to be active in the club for sometime. Other that that no club will give you an acknowledgment letter, since a letter will help you get the license quite easily, compared to the normal process without acknowledgement letter.

That's why I suggested you to get a membership & practice in the club for a while before applying.

But why would he lie? He said his name is Akash. But now he says that his name is Benny! Though the queries remain the same.

No time or interest in analysing that. Thought that way cause of the manner and substantiality of questions. Maybe two different guys for all i know
