Hello to everyone on here.I'm a new member on here. I happen to be an Indian Army Officer and I'm interested in procuring an arms license to get my hands on a pistol for target practice at a Shooting club here in Mumbai. Will "Target Practice/Shooting club" in the Reason column suffice to get me the license or is it more stringent when it comes to issuing arms license to us defence personnel? Cheers

Welcome to the forum Gaucho14,

It should not be difficult to get a License for an Army Officer. But these days they are issuing Licences for Self Protection only to the general public. It would definitely have been much easier, if you were posted in some small town.
