hello, IFG members!
I am an NRI living in the state of Pennsylvania in the. USA.

I've been active in the local firearms community for a while and started collecting military surplus firearms for the past 4-5 years.

Two years ago, I discovered that a small batch of Indian enfield pattern rifles had been imported to the US and I've been focused on collecting them.

so far, I have a 1965 ishapore 2a, 3 RFI .410 conversion single loader shotguns, a deactivated magazine rifle in .303 British, and a grenade launching rifle with grenade cup.

outside of my Indian collection, I have a bunch of mosin variants (including a PU sniper), a couple of AK47 pattern rifles, a few SKS pattern rifles, and a couple of miscellaneous guns including my pistols for self defense.

I joined in hopes of learning more about these Indian rifles. not much is known about them here as a lot of the collectors don't buy them because they have misconceptions about the build quality of foreign guns not from europe. a lot of what is known is merely speculation and old wives tales that have made the rounds.

in summation, greetings to all. any information you guys have on RFI or other ordnance factories, please share. if you'd like to know anything about firearms and rkba culture here ask away!

Phoenixrising, welcome! I'm glad to see someone who shares my tastes in Mosins and RFIs and SKSs. I would love to find a nice 410 musket that has not been converted, but still fires the pumpkin ball out of a straight sided 303 case.

I look forward to your further posts!

PS: if you are in southeastern PA, do you have an outdoor rAnge nearby, where you can shoot milsurp?

here is most of my collection. I left out my run of the mill mosins and a couple others because I really didn't feel like digging them out of the safe. haha

first are my prized Indian guns. RFI grenade enfield (top), RFI 2A in 7.62x51nato, GRI .410 single loader (bottom)

next is my survival rifle, a ruger 10/22 in .22lr. this rifle is all stainless with a threaded barrel for a flash hider or adding a suppressor (one day soon, I hope). mounted is a Bushnell 3-9x 40mm scope.
Image

this is one of my laatest acquisitions, a savage mill in .22lr with a bull barrel and laminate stock. this rifle is pretty light considering the barrel.

Ankara marked Turkish mauser in 7.92x57mm

I don't know how I missed this.
That is a very nice collection of Milsurps, especially the Enfields. Congratulations!
You should get together with Commonwealth of Pa and see if he can help you with the info you are looking for.

Very impressive collection. I like the Enfields and Swiss K31 best. That Walther is screaming for a can :)
