Hi,I'm Arjan,a student of Manipal Institute of Tech, Manipal. My father is a serving army officer,so i've practically called the entire country my home at some point or another. Currently, i stay in Gurgaon.
With both my grandfathers in the police and army,as well as a long line of relatives who've served in the military, guns have always been second nature to me. I've shot thousands of rounds from most kinds of standard Indian army weapons including INSAS, .22 rifles, SBBL/DBBL, PA shotguns, carbine stenguns , 9mm IOF pistols(missed out on the Tavor 21 by a week or so ). Currently,my father owns a licensed PA shotgun manufactured in 1903 (my great grandfather bought it from England) and an IOF .32 pistol.
I strongly believe in RKBA and the fact that every individual should have the right to choose to defend himself and the fact that one can carry guns symbolizes freedom and absence of oppression. One day Gun owners/enthusiasts in India will have the freedom to exercise this choice, until then we must work towards it.
Cheers!
Arjan
