Hello from Jaipur!

Hi friends!

i am Arhant. I live in Jaipur.
Newly registered and newly interested in getting a good air gun!

Intro:
I have been doing back yard shooting with a old Jimmy 30 air rifle and a IHP pistol for a while since school times.
Not much of a pistol guy, but decent enough with a rifle.
During the last few years there was a break and now am back to weekend shooting.

Now i am looking for something decent to shoot with. Main use is target shooting and plinking, but nothing serious.
So i thought i will seek advice here.

locally, i have tested and like the precihole NX100.
From what i read on the forum i gather that it is the recommended starter gun?
I would like to know for my purposes which model is better Polaris or Scorpius?
Main idea is to have good power and accuracy and range.

Second and more difficult option is to go get a RRA memebership (a lot of pain!) and buy a Diana RWS 34 (.177) and be done with it for the long run.

Please let me know what all you people with experience feel is the right step for me.
Regards

Hello Arhant,

> Since you're planning to go in for a Diana RWS54 in 0.177cal - You could settle for the Scorpius...

Thank you so much for the welcome and the suggestion.

Sorry for my limited knowledge, Whats the difference between .22 and .177 in terms of performance?
Given that their other specs are absolutely same. Is one better than the other, and how?

I was planning on getting the RWS 34 and not 54, as the 34 is the top of my budget at the moment.
But getting RRA membership is a big pain, so might go the Precihole way if people here think its a good way to go?
Thanks

Thank you so much for the welcome!

I have decided to go the local route.
I think precihole NX 100 is the best option currently or any other better suggestion?
I am open to all suggestions.

Also, .22 or .177 which model would be better for a back yard shooter? I dont know the difference in performance. :)

Thanks

PS: I know i am asking as a continuation of the intro as i dont want to crowd with unneseccary threads but in case i need
to post this in a diff section, please let me know and i will do it happily. :)
