hi,
im passionate about guns since my childhood.fortunately i got my arms license this year at the age of 32. i love guns up to that extent that i always dream about them. i dont approve of hunting because i think its barbaric. but guns are something that turns me on even in my grave. sir this is my first post and though i love possessing a real gun but my ill luck i had to settle for a .22 ofb rev. its so fragile that i can handle my mobile phone roughly then it. i purchased the rev from shamshuddin gun shop in delhi and he showed me beretta 70 pistol.the moment i saw i was in love with it.but the price demamded was too high.now im planning to go for .32 ofb pistol.but the looks simply kills me. .32 rev ofb is a better option look wise, but somewhere im obssessed with the mechanism of a pistol and the magazine. i always make up my mind to purchase a pistol even one booked at. got a delivery date from cossipore but the moment i thought of its looks i cancelled the order, because i really wanna possess a manly pistol something resenbling the make of s&w, taurus, beretta, but ofb pistol looks like a cross breed of a rev. and a pistol. i saw one czech made .25 pistol cz45 but it was all rusted and was in a very poor condotion. the price demanded was rs 1 lakh. im planning to file a PIL against GoI AGAINST ITS POLICY OF BANNING THE IMPORT OF ARMS IN INDIA. sir so please help me in this regard.how can i do it and whats the procedure. at the end I LOVE GUNS.RONAQ.

Ronaq,

Welcome here. SHooters and gun owners are always welcome and so are those who are pro hunting FYI. While we strictly disapprove of poaching as hunting is illegal in India, there are many among us who live abroad and those who travel from India to hunt abroad. Every one of those is a better gentleman than the PFA/PETA louts and hunting banners are. I do know the latter category well enough as I have been invlved with them at close quarters.

Hunting and conservation are something that the WWF and SCI agree equally on, and countries that practice this have much better records of preserving their wildlife than countries like India which are a conservation basket case. There is enough information on the subject here including a very detailed study by a retired Chief Conservator of Forests in Madhya Pradesh, a man whose knowledge and experience certainly dwarf your opinion in credibility. Not trying to knock you on your first post, but well thought out posts are better appreciated than blanket opinions and judgements, especially judgements that are fundamentally flawed.

Hi Ronaq,

Well u didnt like the 32 IOF pistol....the looks are actually silly. But if u ever happen to visit Amritsar try and visit a shop called Gun Accesory.com (The address is listed in the dealership pages)

Well they change the look of the 32 IOF pistol. So u get an amazingly different model after repairs...One it reblued..its magazine dosent get stuck or malfunctions and the slide is distinctly different. The looks are better .

The 22 Rev is not bad at 35 000 as nothing else would be available in that price.Check if the looks could be modified for this revolver too.

Hi ,
Just logged out and logged in again ... Please note that they do not modify the pistol in any way. The new slide is simply welded/pasted over the old one and then its reblued. The original markings etc remain as they were.

AC,

Would you have any pictures of the IOF pistol after it has been modified by Gun Accessory?

Thanks.
