Considering the silence you may not need to add the prefix...
Come on Dev II, we don't bite (some of us are barking mad though), so let's hear from you.
Welcome aboard.

Just a brief introduction:
Im a london based shooting enthusiast fortunate enough to be a close aquaintance of mundaire ( who by the way has been doing a splendid job-keep it up!), and who directed me to the site.
I would like to get in touch with all the members in and around London area.
Ive just been granted my shotgun certificate yesterday.
One of the guns ive been considering is a laurona (spanish).

Can someone comment?

Send one to me and I will let you know if it's worth buying or not.Since you are in London, why not send along a Purdey or H&H for comparison

Shooter,
Inder and I were at Gander Mountain on Saturday and saw some Excel Lauronas on sale for about $ 475 or so there. Haven't shot one but they looked well made for the price. Much better than the Turkish guns that are normally sold in that price range. But this is a special discounted price and the real price must be much higher for that level of quality.
Grumpy would be the best person to answer this question. PM him, or, if you meet him along with Abhijeet, then talk to him in person. You won't meet a better
RFD in the UK and this is not my personal bias - I am sure that many others would endorse my views.
Cheers!

Welcome Dev Vrat,
I am sure you will have fun here.London,eh?I live in Coventry.Come over here some time and we can go shooting at Rugby.
There are other gun makers, say like Lanber, that make similar quality guns. Solid and reliable but nothing exceptional is what I heard and read of them.Handled one at the Bedford auction last time.A friend of Grumps said that he had a Laurona that was a cracking "pidgeon" gun.Any way, Grumps is the best person to throw light on this.Any reason why you fancy these guns?
Best-
Vikram

I've taken the liberty of splitting the shotgun buying advice posts from this thread into a new thread under the shotguns forum. You can find it here -
