Hello from Pennsylvania
Looks to be a nice bunch of folks here, and I'm grateful that this site exists.
I've been reading what things are like in India for firearms owners, and it makes my blood fairly boil. We complain about incrementalism here in the US, that the lawmakers are slowly, but surely creating new laws to further restrict our inalienable rights, but in most cases, we have nothing like a restriction to one rifle, one pistol, and one shotgun. That's just amazing. We do have nightmares like IL, especially Cook County, and NYC, but in the majority we're quite lucky here.
I've been shooting since I was 24, and licensed for concealed carry for over two decades. Like most shooters, I never get out to the range enough. I don't hunt, although I love fishing. I'm ambivalent about doing it myself, but I have no illusions about where the goat in my curry comes from. Here, we deal with people that stuff their faces with beef at McDonald's and Burger King, and then rail about redneck gun owners and their hunting. Silly, silly, silly.

Collection? Not huge, but satisfying. I concentrate on owning things that would have a practical application, if needed. If possible, one should have at least two of whatever works best, just in case something has to go in to the manufacturer or is at the gunsmith's. I haven't gotten around to it, but the two SIGs are high on that list for "duplication." About the only other thing that I'm itching for is a Walther P99C in Anti-stress (AS): http://www.waltheramerica.com/firearms/p99c.cfm Of course, if I get one, I might not keep the one S&W 9MM that I still have.
Currently:
Pistols: two S&W (25-5, 39-2), two SIG (229, 225), and a Beretta (3032)
Rifles: 16" AR-15, Yugo M70A2 AK, Swiss K31, Russian M44, Yugo M48A
Shotgun: Ithaca M38 12 ga. pump 18.5"
Sanjay:
Hi. I shan't be a stranger.

Not sure what the board rules are on expression, but a hearty wjkk, wjkf to you.
I actually meant to type "Bhubba," the way the letter is usually spelt in English, but the variation is kind of funny.

Bubbha Singh,
You have lied about your location and you match a banned troll on these forums. I am Yellow carding you now and, pending an acceptable explanation about this, you will be banned.
We run a clean site and do not want BSers and scum here.

Moderator or not, calling me a liar in open forum, and suggesting that I am a BSer or scum, is rather bold. That I have chosen a nick that matches one used previously is a matter of happenstance beyond my control. On what do you base your accusation that I've misrepresented my location? If it's some sort of software that matches IPs with Point of Presence, be aware that my ISP's PoP is approximately 160 miles from here and that I trunk in on a leased data line.mehulkamdar";p="19439 wrote: Bubbha Singh,

I would appreciate the courtesy of a respectful reply.

Out past King of Prussia, off of Rt. 422. I'm about ready to tie my dastar and head out the door to the gurudwara — running very, very late.msandhu";p="19464 wrote:Hi Bubbha Singh,

Hopefully, we'll have a chance to talk again.
(I'm suspending the usual greetings and salutations until someone explains the ground rules around here, bhaiji.)

Bubbha Singh,
We have had to deal with two !@#$%#^ 's who signed up on this forum and then created trouble leading to their being banned. The first was a gentleman compared to the second, who lied through his teeth and when his lies were exposed, ended up threatening two moderators. Both tried to sign up here under other aliases and were found out and banned again. The second @$#%&^&$ was more presistent in this than the first one.Eversince,we have been on the gaurd against a repeat of such incidents.
If, infact ,you have been unfairly treated, rest assured that you would get a suitable reply and be more than welcome here there after.Just letting you know the genesis of the current situation.

PS- As far as greetings and salutations go,a simple hello would suffice.Shooters are a classless, casteless social group devoid of all religious affliations
