Namaskara to all :)

I am Hriday Thakkar from Bangalore,Karnataka and am new to IFG. I was so overjoyed when I came to know about this website since I was always looking for a mean to communicate with fellow gun enthusiasts.

I have played with only air soft guns before and am really looking forward to taking up Shooting as my hobby! :)

cheers,
Hriday

Welcome to IFG GoldenEagle :) We're glad to have you here.
As you are interested in shooting, I'd recommend starting from a air rifle and then higher. Best of luck :)
EDIT: Good to another one of my age here :)

Welcome Hriday - Since you have had only airsoft guns before can I suggest that you take up a formal training course at a range near you ? You shall be amazed at how much "extra" one can learn at such a course wrt gun safety, stance, shooting etc. You can then make up your own choice on the gun that you would like to set your heart on. :) Enjoy shooting and follow rigorously the safety rules - the hobby is quite rewarding. Can speak from personal experience. Good luck.

Thank you guys for your warm welcome! :)

I am getting my fist American made air soft pistol from the U.S shortly. It is a G&G Extreme 45 Full Metal Blow back. Shoots at 450 fps!

For a while, I guess I will just practice target shooting before I go on to the next stage of using air rifles! :)

Also, my uncle owns an air rifle and is not using it anymore. Is it legal for me to practice with his gun?

Thank you once again! :)

Hi GoldenEagle,

It is indeed very cool for you to borrow your uncle's air gun and use it (may be you will end up owning it eventually :D ). No worries there! Enjoy!

Warm Welcome to IFG. :D as others correctly said there is no issue if you use your uncle's air gun , just a word of caution . air guns are NOT toys and can cause serious harm if not use properly, so just make sure you know the gun seafty rules and safe gun handling before you start practice with it . Happy and safe shooting
