No , nothing happened the local chauki police people out down a comment about my ancestral properties and mentioned that verification should be done from there as well .
Although I never lived there, anyways the SI from that chauki called me to inform that I have sent the report based on your properties.

Now election were notified so everything is stuck.
Any update sir, in your case?

Try using Gnadhigiri, I have been struggling with transferring my license and subsequent renewal for the last 4 years. Files only move with Gandhi ji's blessings. Every police report needs his touch. Mine has finally reached the City Magistrate's office and it has just been a week since. Hopefully, another week should get his lordship's attention and kind intervention. Time has no meaning in U.P.

100% agree.

Also even after using GG there is no guarantee that your file will be moved, for example, in my case, it would be 5 years in October since I applied for my license, even if we take 2 years off due to covid, still there was no progress and no satisfactory reply from the authorities until I filed an IGRS complaint. Received a call from local PS that the file is here and you need to come, went there did what needed to be done.

Enquired after a week, he said file was cleared from police station and CO office, but returned from the SP City office because LIU and DCRB verification needs to be done again and file is at LIU office.

Went to LIU office after couple of days, file never reached there. After using some more GG and pulling some strings at the SSP office level, finally managed to move the file to Additional City Magistrate's office.

Clerk at the SSP office told me to go to the ACM office and persuade him about the file, but I dont know is it right to go there without them calling first, I think you get called or something. Can you please advice what to do now? Wait or go there? It's only been a week just like your case.

Thanks.

P.S. I am from Meerut, what is your area of jurisdiction? If you don't mind me asking.
