Hey all,

Gun enthusiast (actually multi activity enthusiast) currently based in Kerala.

Had fired 30ish rounds with Ishapore? .22 back in NCC days several years back.

On the web, also hang out at BR.

Interests in adventure sports, armed forces, geopolitics and traveling.

Here to: Learn about the Indian firearms scene.

Welcome to IFG..:)

Since you are in Kerala.. wanted to know if you are into competition sports .. and any participation in the upcoming National Championships?

Also, I doubt if the Ischapore was in .22. I guess what was pre-dominant in the late 80s and early 90s were the Lee Enfields modified for a .22. I had great NCC days too, and remember them pretty often :)

Thank you for the welcome! :)

I have not touched a rifle (other than airguns) since 1996, and so may label me as a complete novice/n00b. I hope to get into some shooting club in India for learning and recreational shooting (competition is not my mind at all). (Yes, will search the FAQs and other threads for the answer to that question).

And yes, 10x, I guess it was a rechambered Lee-Enfield. Damn 7.5 kg bug*3r, had more trouble lifting it than trying to aim. :D
