Welcome Sandy, I've always wanted to get my hands on a .308, but this being India.............. Do share your views on your acquisition.

Thanks friends for your warm welcome... I have just finished the paperwork and placed an order for the Marlin XS7 0.308 woth bushnell scope 3-8 x 40, tactical bipods and sling. The gun should be here in a week and then there is a 10 day waiting period for the gun in state of california. Once i get the gun I will post the pics.. for now this is how its going to look

I was always interested in guns, I have had ample experience at the shooting ranges (indoor and outdoors). I had some spare cash with me and i was thinking of buying a Playstation 3, then it suddenly hit me that rather than buying a game console to play shooting games , why not buy a rifle and acquire a skill. I can own a good rifle as long as I am in U.S, once i return to India, draconian gun laws will never let me fulfill this dream. As I got into the process of getting the gun, I realised how unfair Indian gun laws are. I am also a member of a few defence forums, and i posted my views on the same and got redirected to Indiansforguns.com.

in addition to my Marlin XS7 0.308
In next 3-6 months these are the following firearms I am planning to acquire

Ruger mini 14 5.56/.223rem
Mosin Nagant 7.62 x 54R
Mossberg 12 gage
Hi point .45 ACP pistol

glock G17 9mm (for my girlfriend)
