Hello Mates,
I am Amit from Kolkata. Though till date I have never been into any kind of shooting game apart from using some Airgun but I definitely love to join this game. By profession I am a Computer Engineer and run a small Web-designing and developing firm. Can you guys please suggest me on how to be a part of this game. I want to know everything from the very beginning.
What are the criteria that I need to fulfill while trying to be a member of a shooting club?
How many Shooting club is present in Kolkata?
Do I need to buy a gun?
Do i need any certification from somewhere before joining a club?
As a newbie please guide me through the process of entering into the shooting game. I will be highly appreciating any tips or suggestion.
Eagerly looking ahead to your kind advice and suggestions.
Regards.
Amit

Re: Hi Everyone
Welcome aboard Amit. No offense, but shooting should never be considered to be a game. It is a sport with such certain amount of care, caution and responsibility is to be maintained at all times. Go through the forum and you will find details about local shooting clubs. Give them a call and find out about their enrolment procedure. Once in the club try your hand at both airguns and airpistols. Decide on what you would prefer pursuing and then invest on buying the needed. All the best.

Jeff Cooper advocated four basic rules of gun safety:
1) All guns are always loaded. Even if they are not, treat them as if they are.
2) Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy.
3) Keep your finger off the trigger till your sights are on the target.
4) Identify your target, and what is behind it.
