... Man... what a fish.. but the tale does seem fishy... Would a 6 feet fish drag and devour a 17-year old boy... Strange

its possible if you look it like this, fish is strong in water and 6 feet one is able to drag a young man. even a Irish wolfhound, who grow to that size can drag a young man

The goonch is no mutant though it might look like it. They have been known to go upto 100 kg and the locals have many tales of goonch taking livestock and even children who enter their watery domain. a fish that size would definitely have the power to take a child under and drown it if it had the inclination to do so. Have my doubts if it has really happened though.But they say fact is stranger than fiction

A Goonch is a fresh water shark.
and you know what a shark can do.
