Could be ignorance, rather than stupidity. The fellow taking the pic was probably giving her instructions.

As TwoRivers mentions: the person who is really stupid is the boyfriend or whoever told her to do that. He will end up turning another person away from guns and shooting as she will forever be afraid of firearms now.

ignorance: the state of not knowing something or the facts about something
stupidity: the choice to remain ignorant in spite of the facts

IFG - Where humor threads can turn into serious discussion.
That picture was taken by a guy on "The magical place" to troll the users, he also took a picture of his girlfriend holding an airgun exactly like that. It was a troll photo, his girlfriend knows how to handle firearms properly.
Y'all should have seen the tacticooled .303 Lee Enfield and the Mauser with "My Little Pony" stickers and blue paint.
