Jefe, the link was not working. Fixed it.

That was hilarious. The citizens in that bailiwick shall sleep unperturbed with the sound knowledge that their protectors can find out hidden shooters based on the bore of a gun. ROTFL ROTFL ROTFL

Makes me wonder what do they really mean?
Like Kuwar, above- If it does'nt make sense to HIM, should go in the humor column? so, should we post some complex stuff like ,Greenhills formula et al ,in humor column??
and in the same breath-i have respect for you , senior, yadayada yada-get a life! You dont have to have respect or whatever -like it matters to me. You're just a face in the crowd and your having 'respect' for me doesnt make the sun rise...

Space is INTENTIONALLY put to make you cut and paste the link, correct the gap, and search for the link.Because, many servers handling these BBS and forums get unstable with IP addresses, more so if the ads are in the subject column. With so much fun about 'DSB' Disco Airguns and the usual '24karat' for sale gunnery here, it must be tough for the server, see?

Vikram
Its like trying to say they can ID the make model colour and window tint on a car involved in a hit and run, based on the wound pattern..
Saw some gruesome pics an EMT pal sent me of a hi speed car crash ( may even have been on the net)A long time - Maserati Bob was cut into TWO and ground to fine paste- the lower half... maybe this copper would have ID'd the perpetrator vehicle

Apparently not an airgun.
"We're trying to compile details of those with gun licences in the area. The bullet was not fired from an air gun. Ballistic experts are checking to determine the bore and whether it's a prohibited one. Once the bore is known, experts can give an approximate location from where the bullet was fired," said an investigating officer.
<sarcasm>So the first thing is to go after the license holders who have spent tons of money, time and effort to go out and get an arms licence? Why not? Its the easy way out, isn't it? Obviously there is no chance of some criminal doing this because he would have been denied an arms licence</sarcasm>

Where did the airgun come in this incident..? ROTFL The very look and feel for the bullet and a pellet are very different. I would have expected them to mention the calibre if at all they thought its relevant.

Hey XL, I was watching CNN & the cops take down that guy for not telling them he was packing, -and we thought we had it tough here!
Dont miss the emphasis on P bore. A view down a Gold cup OR a 22 clone would have the afore said orficer change his undies pronto...

Then I read they did arrested some poor sod with 13 -read it- 13 airgun pellets, for the same crime??

seems like kids alone at home playing in snipers

it make a lot of sense do not post links as it is, because forum software automatically cashing the link

some time people use xxx: //www..... instead of http:// it is very good practice because if people visiting web site by following the link from other site, then link to IFG site will remains in those web site log.

google too will improve position of timesofindia in searches relevant to guns. it is not the purpose of this forum promoting timesofindia, who are posting antiguns articles. imo if link posted not exactly what we want to promote, then use of modified URL will be good practice.

Hello Asif,
You missed out the investigation that went into finding the prankster who shot the cart vendor. A cop was telling a TV reporter that the shot was fired from a .30 firearm  They later found some chap with an airgun who accidentally shot the cart vendor whilst trying to shoot a stray dog.

For an airgun to do so much damage he must have been shot from a pretty close range.
