wonder full all iron dao an effective weapon, members please educate more on its martial history

I have quite a few of them back home,awesome weapons,pretty scary if you have someone run after you with one of these PM nagarifle,he'll give you all the info and much more By the way the weapon doesn't look like a naga dao,it looks more like a Garo dao.

at first glimpse i agree with vrohan, that it looks more like" millam" as is known in garo.

all daos are basically multipurpose tools, used in the kitchen, in the field and hunting etc. in gernal naga daos dont have cross guard.

looks like this one is really made of metal.. But I could be wrong though

Thats not a Naga Dao.... as nagarifle said its Garo.... from Garo Hills, Meghalaya. I should know.... I have Garo relations by marriage...

Naga daos are essentially melee weapons.... close up hack and swing.

I don't think it's naga dao. I have a few dao called naga dao at my home. None of them looks like this. Maybe nagarifle can post a few pics of naga dao to clear up the mix up

awesome martial history being lost to time, i think no catalogue or research has been done on the martial races of NE, i remember my grand father used to say that the British had the most difficult time controlling the NE and NW corners of India.

nagarifle I have a similar dao like the one pictured on top. The handle isn't long like this one though.

BTW I wonder why you want him to get circumcised. Hmmmm.... Maybe you are running out of beauty cream (Srsly! some beauty creams are made out of foreskins collected from circumcised man) Shocking trivia right?
