Very interesting quiz,Prashant.
If you check the attachment, while the 8 bore cartridge is big, it's not as massive as the one you posted.The 2Bore cartridges,ASFAIK,are made of brass.
IF the cartridge you posted is not a model but actually a working cartridge, then it could be the one used in kiln cleaning operations.

i have one in a smaller avtaar...a little larger than a 12 gauge cartridge though
