Hi Guys,
Here's some food for thought!!!
DOCTORS Vs GUN OWNERS
DOCTORS
The number of physicians in the U.S. is 700,000.
Accidental deaths caused by Physicians per year are 120,000.
Accidental deaths per physician is 0.171.
Statistics courtesy American Medical Association
GUN OWNERS
The number of gun owners in the U.S. is 80,000,000. (Yes, that's 80 million)
The number of accidental gun deaths per year, all age groups, is 1,500.
The number of accidental deaths per gun owner is 0.000188.
Statistics courtesy of FBI
So, statistically, doctors are approximately 9,000 times more dangerous than gun owners.
REMEMBER, 'GUNS DON'T KILL PEOPLE, DOCTORS DO.'
FACT: NOT EVERYONE HAS A GUN, BUT almost everyone has at least one doctor!!!
Cheers

Re: DOCTORS Vs GUN OWNERS!
I wonder how many Doctors there are on this forum.
I am sure, there must be quite a few.
Could I please request all Doctors / Dentists / Vets to post here.
Even those married to Doctors could join in.
Amongst professionals,I was surprised to see the number of Doctors who landed up in Africa for shoots. Not as many engineers or lawyers. If it has something to do with the sight of blood , I am not so sure. But they surely came in decent numbers.
Infact there was a book I read called the "Perfect Shot" which had been written by a Vet and covered "shot placement" for every animal available (for hunting) in the (African) continent.
Cheers,
Dr Prashant Singh

> Somehow its true that rarely do Lawyers take up to the hunting sport - Doctors especially Vets do, may be becuase they are connected with animals.
> But here's good one - An NGO organized a debate as to who is more useful to the society - Doctors or Lawyers?
> The conclusion went in favour of the 'Doctors', who capped it all by 'Diagonizing' that...
" LAWYERS SUFFERED FROM THIS ACUTE SYMPTOM - "MENTAL CONSTIPATION & VERBAL DIARRHOEA"
